El Haimour Leaves

After possibly the most disappointing Barnsley career in recent history, Mounir El Haimour has finally left Barnsley Football Club.

The club have issued a statement on the official website announcing that his contract has been cancelled by mutual consent.

The 29 year old Frenchman joined the Reds in the summer of 2008 but made just 20 appearances, scoring no goals.

His slight frame and tendency to back out of a challenge most likely led his managers to leave him out of the side.
