Adam Hammill Wins Goal Of The Season
Last night at Ardsley House Hotel, the end of season awards ceremony took place for Barnsley Football Club for the 2009/10 season.
Adam Hammill came away with the Goal of the Season accolade for his super strike at Pride Park against Derby County in September.
The Liverpudlian winger beat leading scorer Daniel Bodanovic's second effort against Cardiff City in the 2-0 win and Anderson Da Silva's excellent drive from outside the box against Burnley in the Carling Cup victory at Oakwell.
Hammill's goal against the Rams sparked the Reds first league victory of the campaign, cancelling out Rob Hulse's opener for Derby. He cut inside from the left flank after receiving a pass from Iain Hume and unleashed an unstoppable curling effort into the Derby net from almost 30 yards.
