Barnsley Career:

An academy graduate, Jacob made his first team debut for the Reds against Newcastle United at St. James' Park in the Carling Cup in 2007.

The talented young midfielder made 5 first team appearances in total in the 2007/2008 season including a brief cameo at Wembley in the F.A. Cup Semi Final against Cardiff City.

Jacob clocked up another 4 appearances in a red shirt last season making a great impression in the centre of midfield and picking up the young player of the year award.

This season has seen Jacob really break into the first team on a regular basis, making 23 appearances and scoring his first goal for the club on the first day of the season away at Sheffield Wednesday in the 2-2 draw.

Having just signed a new deal at Oakwell, Jacob's Barnsley career looks to be really taking off and hopefully he will establish himself as a permanent name in the starting eleven.
