Barnsley Sign Rodriguez

Barnsley have captured the loan signing of Burnley striker Jay Rodriguez for a month.

The young striker has been granted a loan move by new Clarets boss Brian Laws because, according to Burnley FC's official website he needs 'to play some first team football.'

Whether or not he will solve Barnsley's recent attacking problems remains to be seen but Rodriguez, who has made just two appearances for Burnley this season, will be available for tomorrow's re-arranged trip to Deepdale until the beginning of March, meaning he will be able to play in Barnsley's next seven Championship fixtures.

You should be very happy with this signing. Although he hasn't played much for us, he's a talented striker who knows how to finish. Just put the ball in the right places and you're laughing!

and he got off to a flying start I hear with a goal on his debut!
