Jamal Campbell-Ryce Leaves Barnsley

Jamaican international Jamal Campbell-Ryce has played his last game for Barnsley. He has signed a two and a half year deal at Ashton Gate.

The diminuitive winger has left Barnsley after two and half seasons with the club, less than a year after signing an improved contract with the Tykes.

Campbell-Ryce has been out of favour with Mark Robins so far this season and will be happy for the chance to get some first team football. He had become a fans favourite in his previous two seasons at Oakwell scoring some very memorable goals including the winner over Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsbrough last season.

The fee is believed to be in the region of £800,000 which should free up some cash for Robins to bring in someone he does want to give games to.
