'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Robins' View: Crystal Palace

Barnsley manager Mark Robins gave his thoughts on the draw with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

Speaking to the club's official website, Robins said: 'We we lack lustre and we just didn't show that energy. Difficult to put my finger on it but again we're looking for better on Boxing Day.'

The game was certainly not the best spectacle and petered out towards the end after a pair of brilliant goals, one from either side.

Victor Moses scored an amazing overhead kick into the top corner to equalise for Palace after Daniel Bogdanovic had given the Reds the lead in the 19th minute. On Moses' goal, Robins said: 'It was a great finish but from our point of view, where you allow a striker that sort of room like that, I'd have loved that room, I didn't get that much room when I played here. The header's dropped to him nicely in the penalty area and he's stuck it in well.'

The result, while disappointing considering the Reds had lead for almost half the game, still continues their unbeaten run in the Championship, extending it to 7 games ahead of the trip to Preston North End on Saturday.
