Quiet One At Oakwell Tomorrow

Scunthorpe United's official website published an article earlier today, notifying supporters that the club had sold 300 tickets for the tie with Barnsley at Oakwell tomorrow night.

The Iron haven't even sold fifty per cent of their 1000 seat initial allocation, which for a Championship fixture against local rivals is absolutely abysmal.

The small congregation will turn up tomorrow night to watch their team take on the Reds as underdogs depsite their 1-0 victory over established Championship side Coventry City on Sunday.

Two seasons ago, a crowd of 11,230 watched Barnsley defeat the Iron 2-0 thanks to an own goal and Kayode Odejayi, who ran 50 yards before finishing coolly past the keeper, a feat which he unfortunately could not manage at Wembley some seven months later.
