Last night, Onome Sodje completed an emergency loan move to Conference table toppers Oxford United.
The Nigerian born forward joined Barnsley this summer in a contraversial switch from York City after making a name for himself with the Minstermen, scoring 22 goals in 85 appearances.
However, the 21 year old has made just one first team appearance for Barnsley so far in his debut season, and so has accepted a month's loan to the Conference, which should help get some first team football under his belt.
Sodje, nephew to Akpo, Efe and Sam, who also ply their trade in professional football, will be eligible to make his Oxford debut tonight against Forest Green.
Meanwhile, Onome's fellow Reds' striker Michael Coulson has stepped up a league after his short loan spell at the Conference's bottom side Chester, to join League 2 strugglers Grimsby Town, who recently named their youth team coach Neil Woods as their new first team manager.
Coulo made his Mariners debut on Saturday in a 0-0 draw at rivals Lincoln City. He was replaced on 77 minutes by ex-Red Barry Conlon.
