Rob was signed by Simon Davey from Sheff United on a free transfer in the summer of 2007. He is a right back by trade but can operate at left back if required.
Rob enjoyed a great debut season at Barnsley, helping the Tykes on route to Wembley in the F.A. Cup, playing in the teams that beat Liverpool and Chelsea in earlier rounds.
To date, Rob has made 80 appearances for Barnsley, but has never scored a goal.
