Barnsley Career:

Bobby was signed by Paul Hart from Mansfield Town on July 1st 2004. He was part of the squad that won promotion from League 1 to the Championship under Andy Ritchie in 2006.

Bobby has played in a variety of positions for the Reds including centre back, left back and midfield, but prefers his regular position of right back.

Bobby won the Player of the Year award for the 2008/09 season thanks to his consistent workmanlike performances in midfield for the Reds.

When fit, Bobby is always in contention for a starting place for the Reds thanks to his versatility and work rate. One of his best moments in a Red shirt came last season away at Hillsborough when Bobby made a tremendous goal line clearance to keep the Reds` on course for victory over their bitter local rivals Sheffield Wednesday.
To date, Bobby has made 195 appearances for Barnsley, scoring 4 goals
