Shotton Is An Oakwell Man

Barnsley have signed another defender on loan from Premier League outfit Stoke City. Ryan Shotton has joined his Stoke team mate Carl Dickinson in signing a three month loan deal at Oakwell.

20 year old Shotton came through Stoke`s youth system and has enjoyed successful loan spells at both Altrincham and Tranmere Rovers making over 70 appearances in total.

Shotton is a tall defender and should provide adequate cover for Darren Moore who was injured in a challenge with keeper Brian Jensen during Tuesday night`s Carling Cup victory over Burnley at Oakwell.
