Odejayi 'Goes Down Well' At U's

Mark Robins saw fit to send Kayode Odejayi on loan to League 1 outfit Colchester United in an attempt to 'kick start his career' and in his first game for the U's the big target man has proved his worth.

Odejayi was brought down in the opposition's box twice in five minutes on Saturday, earning penalties for his side both times, with Kevin Lisbie missing the first but converting the second before adding another goal himself later to complete the 2-0 scoreline.

Odejayi, although he doesn't score often, is a valuable asset to a squad playing long ball football, with his strength causing defenders all kinds of problems and his pace formidable. He earned Barnsley's penalty winner at Reading in the second round of the League Cup in August.

Yep, he really impressed me on Saturday. Has got height, pace and power. Came close to scoring himself and fitted in really well. Up the U's!
