Premier League Draw For Reds In Cup

Not exactly a glamour tie, albeit with Premier League Opposition, Barnsley's reward for two away wins at Lincoln City and Reading is a home tie against Burnley, played in the week beginning September 21st.Premier League new boys Burnley beat Hartlepool United 2-1 to reach the third round and set up a meeting between themselves and Barnsley.

Despite struggling in the leauge, the Reds did the double over Burnley last season, with a 3-2 win at Oakwell and a Campbell-Ryce winner proving the Reds with another 3 points at Turf Moor in a 2-1 victory in December.

It's the first time Barnsley have reached the third round of the League Cup in almost a decade and the chance is there for the taking to reach round four.
