Gray Joins Barnsley

Simon Davey has finally captured the signature of Andy Gray from Charlton Athletic. The Scottish international completed the move this evening for an undisclosed fee.

Barnsley manager Simon Davey spoke of his delight at securing the signing after a summer of chasing the big striker. He told barnsleyfc.co.uk: 'I am absolutely delighted to have brought Andy into the club and it is the one deal we have been waiting for.'

31 year old Andy joined Charlton Athletic in 2008 for 1.75m and scored 9 times in 21 appearances. Charlton Athletic were relegated to League 1 at the end of the season so Andy has made the step back up the Championship joining the Reds.

He joins the squad and will be available for selection at Leicester City tomorrow.
