'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Barnsley vs Preston North End: Barnsley Team News

After the 2-0 defeat to Coventry City at Oakwell on Saturday, Simon Davey will be looking for a reaction from his players.

Speaking to the club's official website, Davey said 'We need a big response. We need to bounce straight back.'

One player who won't be able to make amends however, is Rob Kozluk. He is suspended for the match following his sending off on Saturday for two bookable offences.

After Saturday's result, Davey admitted to the club's official website that he was disappointed with Kozluk: 'It was a sending-off because they were two bad tackles. He should be more professional than that because it cost us the game.'

Davey can choose from El Haimour and Luke Potter to fill in at left back for Kozluk and a good performance from either of those two could and should make it difficult for the former Sheffield United defender to come back into the fold after his suspension.

Emil Halfredsson and O'Neil Thompson could possibly feature, but the Reds are still waiting on international clearance for them.

Darren Moore will undergo another late fitness test before the match against Preston. He had painkilling injections for the games against Sheffield Wednesday and Coventry City for a toe injury.

Iain Hume could possibly feature again from the bench after making his long awaited return to first team action as a substitute on Saturday against Coventry City.
