Moore Looking Forward To New Season

Moore Looking Forward To New Season

The Reds kick off the new campaign tomorrow at Hillsborough against arch rivals Sheffield Wednesday and all the pre-season hype and optimism, founded or unfounded has rubbed off on Reds veteran Darren Moore.

The 35 year old centre back can't wait for the season to start tomorrow and says he is in great shape. Speaking to the club's official website, Moore said: 'We have had a great pre-season and I feel fit, ready and physically strong.'

He added: 'We have a tough local derby against Sheffield Wednesday and it is a great game to open the season with. It is always a special game and one we cannot wait for.'

Moore is expected to start at Hillsborough tomorrow in the heart of the Reds' defence, partnering skipper Stephen Foster.
