Barnsley to sign Hallfredsson

Barnsley have announced that they are close to bringing in only their third new signing of the close season.

Emil Hallfredsson, a 25 year old left sided player, is yet to agree terms at Oakwell but the Tykes have struck a deal with his club, Italian side Reggina for a loan deal with a view to a permanent deal.

The Reds' manager Simon Davey told the club's official website: 'We are not discussing terms with Emil and hopefully that will all be concluded soon.'
