New Deal For Steele!

Barnsley announced today that Luke Steele has signed a new deal to keep him at Oakwell until the summer of 2011.

After a successful loan spell including a match winning display at Anfield in the F.A. Cup 5th round against Liverpool, Steele spent the majority of last season as understudy to veteran keeper Heinz Muller.

However, after announcing publicly that he was unhappy at the lack of first team football, Steele found himself back between the sticks for the last handful of games, thanks largely to some costly errors from Muller.

The 24 year old begins a new two year contract and will hopefully provide stiff competition once again for Heinze in goal.
