Barnsley 1 Ipswich 2: Magilton's reaction

Ipswich Town manager Jim Magilton gave his thoughts ater seeing his side take all three points from Oakwell.

Speaking to the post-match press conference Magilton said:

'We showed our quality in the first half and then showed our grit in the second. We know they would come out with a positive attitude but we dealt with that brilliantly.

'It is a very hard place to come, so to come here and get all three points is a massive bonus for us.

'I thought we were immense to a man and we showed a great appetite for the game and a great appetite to defend. I can't ask any more of them.'

Magilton knows there is a long way to the finishing line but is aware that his side are capable of pushing it all the way:

He continued: 'A lot of my players want to play in the Premier League but we need to show the desire week in week out.

'We have got some momentum now so we just want carry on going and that starts with the next match.'

Great manager, Jim Magilton. Had some stick though in recent weeks but not doubt, they have a great squad, Ipswich.
