'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Hume hails fans

Injured Barnsley striker Iain Hume has praised supporters for the amount of support he has received after suffering from a fractured skull.

The Canadian international is determined to repay the fans after receiving tons of support over the past few weeks.

He told the club's official website: 'The support my family and I have received has been absolutely unbelievable.

'I believe I have not really done anything to earn that kind of backing and support. I have done nothing yet at Barnsley and I want to repay that support.

'I have to get back to the level I was at and even higher for the fans. Just getting back playing this season will be a big boost and show a lot of people who said I would never do it.'
