Wolves ease past Barnsley

Top of the league, top of the scoring charts, Wolves toppled the Tykes 2-0 at Molineux.

A Bobby Hassell own goal sent Mick McCarthy's men into the lead on 19 minutes. Foley's teasing cross hit the chest of Hassell and squeezed past Muller.

It was a stroke of luck for Wolves although Barnsley had been resticted to long-range efforts.

Another injury blow for the Reds occured when Dennis Souza had to be replaced by Rob Kozluk as the Brazilian tweaked his hamstring just before half time.

Foley doubled the home side's advantage ten minutes before the end, his effort managed to evade the hand of Muller.

Next up is the visit of Plymouth Argyle to Oakwell on Saturday 20th December, a very important clash for Simon Davey's men.
