'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Red's Reuben makes history

Although Barnsley went down 3-0 at the hands of Ipswich Town this evening, it was a night to remember for young striker, Reuben Noble-Lazarus.

At the age of 15 years and 45 days, Reuben came onto the pitch in the 84th minute to make history for Barnsley Football Club and even the Football League.

Despite only being allowed five minutes on the turf at Portman Road, Lazarus showed glimpses of electric pace which, along with the right guidance and nurturing, could benefit himself and Barnsley Football Club.

Maybe the young forward will get even longer on the pitch in Saturday's game, as the Reds welcome South Yorkshire rivals, Doncaster Rovers to Oakwell.
