Colace clearance at last

At long last, Barnsley's Argentine midfielder Hugo Roberto Colace has been given the all clear to play for Barnsley Football Club.

Despite being signed in June, clearance from the Argentine FA was yet to be received and the 24-year-old wasn't even permitted to play in the reserve side.

It is well known in football that the Argentinian FA are stubborn, and didn't seem at all too urgent to pursue the release of Colace's registration papers from his former Club, Newell's Old Boys.

It is indeed welcome news for Simon Davey, who was delighted to land the defensive midfielder's signature, so his frustration in the past few weeks is more than understandable.

The provisional clearance has been granted by FIFA after the Reds submitted an ultimatium last week due to the ongoing saga, once the FA receive full clearance, Colace will more than likely be selected to play in the Tyke's next match against Blackpool at Bloomfield Road.
