'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Barnsley Weekend Review

So the highly anticipated South Yorkshire derby ended in a goalless draw in a match where neither side really had control of the game thanks to the very windy conditions.

Wind aside, the draw for Barnsley kept the six point gap between them and the relegation zone, although ideally the reds should be well clear of any sign of the dreaded "R" word.

Fair play to Simon Davey who has to cope with yet another massive injury blow after discovering that midfielder Anderson De Silva will be out for around seven months after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament.

'Patience` is the key word for all Barnsley fans as the reds gaffer must have a massive headache after losing a second star player this season to a serious knee injury (the other being Heinz Muller around a month ago).

So if all the Barnsley fans pull together and get behind the team for the rest of the season and ensure we are still playing at this level of football come August, I would say it`s a job well done for Simon Davey. After all, it takes time for new players to gel and with a couple of additions over the summer it can be safely said that Barnsley will have a very good solid side by next season.

Come on You Reds.

We're back over you know, you're lot showed well at home in the 0-0 draw against us (QPR) and you're home form will have to take you through. That was two vital points dropped I think, that Diego Leon looks a bit of a decent player.
