'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Calling All Barnsley Fans

With a phenomenal cup run in the making, many fans will be queuing for tickets to see the reds take on Avram Grant`s Chelsea.

However, as exciting as it may seem to have Oakwell packed to the rafters, it`s very doubtful that the glory hunters of the F.A Cup would be willing to support their local team in the freezing February cold this evening.

Although Barnsley are only six points off the relegation zone, it can`t be denied that the reds have produced some splendid displays this season, especially at home. With wins over the likes of Watford, Wolves and West Brom, having a twelfth man will be priceless for Davey`s men.

So dust off your Toby Tyke hat, wrap up in your red and white scarves and get down to Oakwell this evening in support of the mighty reds!

Having been at the game and seen the attendance figure of just over 9000, it angers me somewhat to think that many so called 'fans' will have tickets for the Chelsea game (and were also lucky enough to be at Anfield) yet they don't bother to turn up and support the lads when they really need it - on a very cold February night!! I think a more fitting ticket allocation system would have been appropriate, one that rewards those who actually turn up week in, week out

well if thats the case 9000 reds and 7500 owls satdi nearly a home game yet again for us

wondered how long it would take for an owl to turn up. They just can't sit down and shut up. They really are the villains of South Yorkshire football. Nobody likes them. Ask a Barnsley, Rotherham, Sheffield United fan which team they dislike the most...Sheffield Wednesday.

It's because you all have too much mouth, Mouth
