'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Norwich 1 Barnsley 0

The reds fell to yet another disappointing away defeat down at Carrow Road this afternoon despite keeping the same side that was victorious over the mighty Liverpool.

Simon Davey kept faith in his Anfield heroes despite the return of key players including Jon Macken and Lewin Nyatanga.

The only goal of the game came on 26 minutes from the Canary`s top scorer Jamie Cureton, who fired home a half volley from 25 yards, his seventh of the season. Things went from bad to worse on 40 minutes when Anderson De Silva was brought off injured, although it appears the damage isn`t as bad as first feared.

After half time Simon Davey threw caution into wind, switching to a 4-3-3 formation, bringing on Jon Macken and Kayode Odejayi, although never really causing Norwich much trouble at all.

So another away league defeat leaves the reds in 17th position, just 6 points above the dreaded drop zone and with key home games just around the corner, many will be hoping that Barnsley will reproduce the magic we all witnessed at Anfield in the FA Cup.
